This was my first visit to southern Italy, and I absolutely fell in love with the region of Basilica, mostly because our wonderful Italian teacher and tour guide Viviana .

She organised the most interesting destinations , from the incredible cave dwellings of Matera , to the beauty of Pollino National Park , where we found the breathtaking village of Rotonda , cobbled lanes stacked with fascinating hillside cottage’s…

There was a fun cookery class…delightful food , hotels, B/B .. and much more ..

All details taken care of … we just sat back and enjoyed Italy , and the italian language..
